This study used the U.S. national dataset from the Early Childhood Longitudinal Study-Kindergarten and examined how teachers used different reading activities in kindergarten classrooms shaped children's academic gains.
The study identified two meaningful profiles for Chinese oral language skills using Chinese listening comprehension and oral expression skills. The finding also indicated E-book discussions promoted children's English comprehension for children with lower Chinese oral language skills.
